Ibiza Airport handles up to 250 flights a day in high season (July-August), with flights from all over Europe: Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, mainland Spain. Peaks are concentrated on summer weekends, when over 90,000 passengers depart and land each day. The most frequent Italian destinations are Milan, Rome, Bologna, Naples, Bergamo and Pisa.
After landing, allow about 30-40 minutes for Schengen flights (baggage check without passport control) and 50-70 minutes for charter flights from the UK and Russia (with passport control). The baggage claim area is on Floor 0 of the terminal, where there are 8 conveyor belts. If you're picking someone up, arrive half an hour after the scheduled landing time.
Once you leave the terminal, there are several ways to reach your hotel: a rental car on Floor 0 (Arrivals) at 15+ international and local agencies, the official white-and-green metered taxi (15-20 € to Ibiza town centre) or a pre-booked private Kiwitaxi transfer at a fixed price from 35 €. For budget travellers, bus L10 departs every 15-30 minutes from Floor 0 to Ibiza town for 3.90 €.
